Leona McMillan

Leona has a broad range of commercial skills, with specialist knowledge in procurement, supply chain management and business case development, with over 15 years experience in both the private and public sectors.

After graduating with an MA in Business and Languages (hons) from Heriot Watt University, Leona joined the Marconi business graduate programme and after 12 months working across different business areas, ultimately found her way into the purchasing department. Following further procurement roles for Jaguar Cars and Stella Artois, Leona joined Valueworks, a provider of spend management technology and outsourced procurement services within the social housing sector and started to develop her public procurement experience. Since then, Leona has worked with a number of public sector organisations across a range of services with a focus on procurement strategy and leading complex procurement projects.

Leona enjoys delivering positive reform in the public sector and the variety and at times complexity of the challenges the sector faces. She remains convinced that with the right focus and collaborative input across stakeholders it is possible to secure long term benefits from 3rd parties.

In her spare time, Leona enjoys going to music festivals, although these days it’s the family versions. She also enjoys camping and loves being anywhere beside the sea, from Cornwall up to the Scottish North West Coast.
