Join Jo Haigh, Sunday Times NED of the Year, for a one day training course; Role of the Company Director.
In his last blog post, our Managing Director, Richard Harrison talked about how governance can be a competitive advantage for public service companies. His next blog post will focus on the capabilities, resources and culture required to contribute to the overall success of a public service company with a focus on ensuring for good training and mentoring of Directors and Board Members.
In response to several requests, we are running a one-day ‘Role of the Company Director’ training course on Wednesday 31st January 2018 at the CIPFA, C.Co office in Chester.
C.Co’s Role of the Company Director training is designed to help participants (people who are aspiring to be in a directorship or are currently in one) with an overall understanding of the role and responsibilities of a director.
The aim of the programme is to provide an insight into how to carry out the role effectively and to protect both the individual and the organisation, as far as practical, from potential liabilities and how to run a successful board meeting. It is highly practical, underpinned by relevant legislation and principles, and will be a great opportunity to network.
The day will be presented by the Winner of The Sunday Times NED of the Year and Winner of Most Innovative UK Deal Negotiator 2016 – Jo Haigh, a highly experienced Director who has held over 40 non-executive director roles.
