Heather Baron

Heather Baron is an experienced manager and professional with 17 years’ experience in the Public Sector. Her approach to work is detailed and organised but she is a creative problem solver. She has a proven track record for designing, implementing and managing multi agency teams and leading on sub regional change management programmes.

After graduating from Leeds University with a degree in English Literature with Qualified Teacher Status, she started her career with Warrington Borough Council as a Primary school teacher. She left as Assistant Headteacher after 8 years and started managing Children’s centres in Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Heather has a passion for Early Help and Intervention and helped to design and then manage Team around the Family for the Authority. Heather then helped to design and implement an Early Help multi agency front door team for the authority, one of the few that exist across the country. She managed this team for over 2 years establishing clear pathways for early intervention and step up/step down arrangements with statutory intervention services.

Heather then took a secondment to work across the sub region of Cheshire, establishing similar multi agency teams in all 4 Cheshire Authorities ensuring consistency and best practise. She led on many reviews for Cheshire Constabulary that led to more efficient and safer ways of working. She has spoken of her work at police conferences across the country who aspire to make similar efficiencies.

As a Senior Managing Consultant for C.Co, Heather is enjoying the diversity of projects she can utilise her knowledge and experience on with clients across the country.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, walking her dog in the Cheshire countryside and has finally found a love for the gym after many, many years of avoidance!
