Ian Kirby

Ian has significant local government experience across a range of roles and responsibilities, from front line social housing to Head of Internal Audit. He specialises in governance, cost of care, performance management and transformational change.

MBA and CIPFA audit qualified, Ian has consistently operated at a senior strategic level, leading a number of transformation projects in corporate and operational services. As Director Ian drives, challenges and champions for improved public services.

With an extensive background in social housing, children’s services and audit and performance across a number of councils in the North West, Ian was appointed to the role of Head of Internal Audit/Performance at Cheshire West and Chester Council. Ian has studied alongside working full-time to gain his MBA from Liverpool John Moores University, which he then further supplemented with CIPFA’s diploma in public audit.
